Law Office of Brodsky & Smith, LLC Notifies Amyris Investors of Upcoming July 15, 2013 Deadline in Putative Class Action Lawsuit - AMRS
BALA CYNWYD, July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ – Law Office of Brodsky & Smith, LLC announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of all those investors who purchased or otherwise acquired shares of Amyris, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMRS) (“Amyris” or the “Company”) between April 29, 2011 and February 8, 2012, inclusive (the “Class Period”).
The Complaint alleges that the defendants made materially false and misleading statements concerning the Company’s ability to produce Biofene. On November 1, 2011, Amyris disclosed that it would not be able to produce Biofene in the quantities previously represented. In reaction to this news, shares of Amyris fell more than 20% to close at $15.47 per share. Thereafter, on February 9, 2012, Amyris reported a second issue with Biofene production and the need to raise funds. This resulted in shares of Amyris falling to $6.99 per share.
If you are a member of the class described above, you may, not later than July 15, 2013, move the Court to serve as a lead plaintiff of the class, if you so choose.
